I initially discovered Mausi while I was browsing through The Magician's SoundCloud account with his remix of the band's hit song, My Friend Has A Swimming Pool. I was lucky enough to stumble upon this beautiful cover of Kanye West's Bound 2 from the album, Yeezus {original song hyperlinked}. The synths in the beginning draw you in as the deep house-y beat progresses with the addition of some solid female vocals. As one of my favorite songs in the album, the song has been done justice and more.

{summer 2014}

Cue the summertime activities! As previously mentioned in my graduation blog post, I have an ongoing list of things that I want to do this summer and on. As this is not a complete list just yet, I'm open to other ideas and events that are happening in the city, so if you guys know of any other activities, let me know! {sam smith x mary j. blige}

PSA: I'm a Sam Smith fangirl. And proud. I mean, how can anyone not be a fan of his swoon-y, beautiful voice? Smith is joined by Mary J. Blige in this rework of this single in his new album In The Lonely Hour {which I'll be purchasing ASAP}, and the result is incredible. The gospel choir in the background is a simple, but wonderful addition to the chorus.

Enjoy this wonderful, soulful duet because it's officially on repeat for the rest of the day.
