{always look on the bright side of life}

Photos have all been pulled from tumblr. Photos are not my own unless otherwise stated.

In an attempt to give myself a head start for weeks to come, I'm starting a Sunday Inspiration section for the blog. It'll range from a collection of photos {above} to quotes, articles, or anything else that I find worthy of sharing as something of inspiration for both myself and you all.

Cheers to the start of a new week!

As far as I know, the only person ever to put Japanese lyrics to the Beatles song "Yesterday" (and to do so in the distinctive Kansai dialect, no less) was a guy named Kitaru. He used to belt out his own version when he was taking a bath.
Yesterday,
Is two days before tomorrow,
The day after two years ago.

My cousin introduced me to Haruki Murakami by recommending Kafka on the Shore to me years ago. Since then, his stories have become one of my favorites. I was immediately hooked after reading the aforementioned novel, followed by Norwegian Wood {this was made into a movie, starring Kenichi Maysuyama, Rinko Kikuchi, and one of my favorite models, Kiko Mizuhara}, A Wild Sheep Chase, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles, 1Q84, and currently in the middle of Sputnik Sweetheart. He writes with descriptions with incredible detail and thought, and this artistic writing is displayed in all of his work, from his novels to his short stories.

{summer 2014}

Cue the summertime activities! As previously mentioned in my graduation blog post, I have an ongoing list of things that I want to do this summer and on. As this is not a complete list just yet, I'm open to other ideas and events that are happening in the city, so if you guys know of any other activities, let me know! Feel free to let me know if you'd like to join me on any of these adventures.
