music monday

{2015 january picks & other updates}

Here we are, another glum Monday after my mini-vacation in Austin, Texas. Hopefully I'll have a blog post on my weekend there sometime in the next week or so. I had a blast, and this was definitely my fattest trip to date {fattest meaning more eating than sights}. Granted, there wasn't too much to see because it was cold and rainy, but it was still an extremely relaxing and fun trip.

I also added the Disqus commenting system to my blog so it's easier to communicate. Unfortunately, this reset all the previous comments from before, but no worries. Feel free to add me on the site as well!

January is already flying by... Anticipating another swift year. Enjoy the playlist, and cheers!

{onno ober x august deep}

Yes, it's Tuesday.
Yes, I'm pretty horrible about updating here.
I apologize.

Kids at Play - Channel has a habit of posting some great mixes on their SoundCloud page, and this Onno Ober mix is no exception. The first track immediately hooked me, and as I took a look at the rest of the tracklist, I was instantly intrigued and continued to listen. Choon in for some deep sounds.

{zeds dead @ EDCLV 2014}

To say that I had a blast at EDCLV is a severe understatement. I'm suffering from festival withdrawals at the moment, so I'm dedicating my Music Monday post to one of my favorite sets from the epic three day festival.

Watching this set from the bleachers was one of the highlights of my experience at EDC. As I was talking to my friend, Marcus, about how amazing it would be to see fireworks from where we were all sitting {or for Jonathan, sleeping}, ....FIREWORKS. Hearing Lost You as the fireworks were erupting over the stage and festival had me feelin' some type of way. And then into Go Deep. Don't get me started.

But of course, it wasn't just the fireworks that made this my favorite moment at EDC the fact that all {most} my favorite people were there with me to experience it made it that much more special. Taking in these kinds of moments with the music that brings us all together is what makes the memories that much more special. So, so thankful for all the wonderful homies around me who made my EDC experience exponentially better.

Above and Beyond said it best: "Life is made of small moments like these."

Love you all.
